A Destination Management Company (DMC) is a term for a professional services company possessing extensive local knowledge, expertise and resources, specializing in the design and implementation of events, activities, tours, transportation and program logistics. A DMC provides a service based on local knowledge of the destinations. These services can include transportation; hotel accommodations; restaurant bookings; activities; tours and excursion scheduling; venue booking (selection, contracting); themed events, awards banquets and gala dinner productions; and logistical support. DMCs are able to provide preferential rates based on the buying power they have with their preferred suppliers. A DMC is an event planning and management organization catering to a variety of clients including, but not limited to, corporate, association, individuals, non-profit, leisure and government.
